Fair pricing for 4 week old chicks

I have 5 rainbow chicks,
1 lavender Orpington
And 2 bantam chicks.
I have way too many for my needs and I want to sell them but have no idea about pricing.

It really depends on how fast you want to sell them. If I was a buyer, 5 to 7 dollars seems reasonable, but other people might pay more, say 10 dollars apiece. You might look at the farm & garden section on your local Craigslist page to see what folks are charging there, and use that as a guide.

This past August, I paid $10 each for 10 sexed pullets at 3 weeks of age.

Are yours straight run ?

Personally, I would only go maybe $5 for a 3 or 4 week old straight run bird.

Price in Australia is $10-15 per chick unsexed that AUD

Depends on where you live and if they are still on heat (again, that also depends on where you live...) Agree with checking what others are charging in your area, Maybe give a discount if someone takes all of them. You do not want to be left with a lone chick. Good luck!

I paid $10 each for a dozen barred rock pullets, was told that under 8 wks $10, over 8 wks $15, over 10 wks $20.

Depends what the markets like. Back in April I payed $10 a peice for day old straight run. If you start higher you could always lower the price, it tends to be harder to raise it.
