I’ve got 6 Easter Eggers, 3 Wyandottes: Silver-Laced, Golden-Laced, and Blue Laced Red, 2 Barred Rocks, a Partridge Rock, a White Rock, a Buff Orpington, a Dominique, a Welsummer, an Australorp, a Silver Spangled Hamburg, a Golden Campine, a Black Copper Marans, a Blue Splash Marans, a Black Sumatra, a Speckled Sussex, a Cream Legbar, a Buckeye, a Rhode Island Red, and a Barnevelder. Not to mention that I also raised 6 ducks: 3 Mallards, 2 Khaki Campbells, and a Buff duck. All I can say is that it’s a very busy life, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!
) collection of breeds. Australorps are my favorite standard breed. I've raised them for years (along with dozens of other breeds), and they are extremely hardy, calm and gentle (my children and granddaughter made laps of them), and excellent layers of large, brown eggs. Good luck with your flock.
