Wow, some really nice coops! Maybe something like this is what you have in mind. I have downloaded some plans from Tractor Supply's website, this is 24 sq ft, and cute. They have a nice material list, and photos. With a larger run, this might work -- since some are bantams.

Have you tried the book, "Chicken Coop for Dummies?" Not that you are a dummy or anything but it does have plans for folks who are not carpenters.

Keep your eye on Craigslist etc. for leftover building materials. You could even use pallet wood for siding, etc.

Yes, thanks oldchick. They have some good ideas but none include a poop board and I can't figure out how to do that myself

That's killer crook, gonna check those out, here's hoping! You know, I wish I was good enough to repurposed used wood. There's tons down here due to hurricane, but my skills are so limited that I need to be told every little step

I have also seen coop ideas online using pallets for framing. Businesses usually will give them away on craigslist awls you have to do is pick them up. We made an extra shelter for our goats out of one and holds up fairly well

The great thing about using pallets to is I was able to use a bit thinner plywood which cost less and stuff hey in the pallets during the winter to keep things warm. And it actually stayed very warm in there over the winter. At least here in Virginia

You may say you are not good enough but we are no master craftsman and we were able to make the coops and run out of all repurposed materials. The only thing we had to break down and buy was fencing. It definitely can be done
