Fairy Egg and/or Fertilized Egg

Hello Everyone!
So I went to collect eggs. I believe I found a fairy egg. So I had my daughter Crack it. It looks like there is a baby chick or bird of some sort. Please Help me figure this out.

Pic? Sometimes chickens have pieces of tissue that break off that get encapsulated in an egg..not uncommon.

A fairy egg as in a very small egg? What you probably saw inside was a meat spot wrapped in a little egg white. A pic would help.

That is a meat spot -- a piece of tissue that has shed in the reproductive tract and had an egg formed around it.

Brings to mind a post i read last week on the topic..one member refered to those as " egg farts"..

My kids keep on comparing it to thd life cycle of a chicken. Look at what looks like a tail.

Wow..that is a tiny egg! Yup..its a meat egg. What an awesome experience for your children! We were fortunate enough to raise our kids on a small hobby farm...goats..chickens..geese...horses..they learned a lot. My youngest loved chickens..incubated and raised her own little flock. She eventually went on to college in animal sciences, now works in veterinary medicine. The experiences with livestock/poultry she had growing up has giving her an advantage in her field.
