Fake eggs disappearing

Hi Everyone,

I noticed last week one of my fake eggs was gone. I figured my husband threw it away or something. So today I bought 2 new ones. I put black Xs on them and stuck them in the 2 new nest boxes in the coop. Later i went to check for eggs and the 2 fake ones are gone. I looked everywhere. I even found a real egg laying in the sand. The fake eggs are wooden with a thin porcelain coating. Any ideas? We have big black birds back there sometimes. the run has a 5 foot fence so no dogs are anything can get in.

I thought I might toss this out there but have you checked for snakes?

I know its not kids...i want a camera to spy!!!! When i started researching this issue i found a couple old threads and they mentioned snakes. UGHHHH!! It could be I guess. Ive never seen one...the thought scares me!!! I think im going to move the nest boxes. I only rigged these 2 up because i have 15 hens and only 4 laying boxes in the original coop.

Hey if it's a snake it will probably die eating wood eggs.

It could be anything but most likely a bird or snake
