When do i put fake eggs into the nesting boxes?

If you currently have the nest boxes "closed" you would add the "bait" (fake eggs) when you open the boxes. If they are open now, then anytime really - though many wait until you start seeing signs of maturity and an approach to the point of lay (squat, coloration of the comb/wattles, investigation of nest sites, etc).
