Hello everybody
Last week I think I remember somebody mention golf balls. Have any of you used them before as fake eggs to help pullets get the idea that the nest is the best place to lay thier eggs? Do they work good?
Thanks

I used golf balls, and my first egg was layed right next to them. I still have them in the nest boxes, hoping that the new girls who will be laying will start out right.

I use a real fake egg never realized golf balls could work to

but my bantam layed her first egg earlier this week and she used the fake egg for a few minutes before she started herself. So I believe it works.

golf balls do double duty.

They help hens lay where you want them to

Keep hens from becoming egg eaters...once they peck at golfballs they don't want to peck eggs anymore! It bounces their little brains unlike fake eggs made of wood, plastic, or filled real eggs.
