I'm going to candle tomorrow. That should be 2 weeks for my California Grey eggs. One week left! At 10 days I saw development in 6 of them.
My Turkens are getting big! Time to move them into a larger brooding space. It's wild how fast chicks grow! How are all everyone elses babies and eggs doing?

I set 6 eggs today and one yesterday. They are store bought so I don't know exactly what they are. Probably Hendrix/Bovan or something like that. Hoping they hatch!

This is my first fall hatch, but my broody just hatched out 9 peeps. Hoping they do OK. They are so cute - very much a mix of "who knows" barred rock, yellow buff, leghorn, black giant, RIR...... they are all beautiful and black except one - it is yellow!

I candled the 5 eggs I have in the LG, looks like all are progressing on time except 1. They go on lockdown on the 20th so I'll candle again before then. I candled a couple of the others in the Brinsea and they looked go. Will wait till this weekend to candle them all!!

Glad to hear yours are doing well!!

Cool! My eggs are going into lockdown about the same time as yours. On the 19th. Our babies should be hatching around the same time!

I'm excited about my CGs hatching. I've never had white egg laying chickens before!
Those chicks are looking good. Such a variety! My Turkens all look pretty similar. 3 yellow, 4 black though as they feather they are looking a little different. I'm starting to comb compare on them. I only want to keep one rooster. Fortunately I think my chick that is pure for the NN gene is a rooster. I should be able to sell or give away the other roos when they get bigger.
