Its about time to start planning a fall swap maybe around the end of Sept first Of Oct. We can have it again at the "Old Va Wagon and Saddle CLub" show grounds Marion VA again or if anyone has a better place jump on in. Figured we'd start planning and get a date and time set. I'm pretty sure there is a show the last sat of the month in Sept but the week before or any time in Oct is fine. Anyone that would like to attend give me a yell and let us know what you looking for and might be bringing.

I have no idea what I will have to bring...lol...I could hatch alot of birds between now and then....lol.

I may have some BLRW and possibly some Mille Duccle and Porc Duccle chicks....I stuck a bunch of eggs under 3 broodies and I dont know what they are haha!

May have some Mille Fleur COCHIN chicks depending on how far feathered they are by then.

Looking for Gambel Quail, Valley Quail and Blue Scaled Quail.

Thanks PP for getting us going!

Lets try and shoot for the Oct 2nd?? I may have lion head bunnies, and depending on what I sale before them I could possibly have some silkies, sizzles and cochins. I'm thinking also of doing another hatch so if anyone is coming and would like anything that I have let me know and I'll hatch some or bring eggs.

Darn, I'm going to have to miss this one.

DH teaches has a large craft show in Murphy, N.C. that week and we can't miss it. It's generally his biggest show of the year. Have fun.

That won't be a good weekend for me either. Dh is a roofing contractor, so we have to wait until Fall to take our vacation. Maybe if this swap was on the 25th of September.....

What a shame, I have 5 Wheaten Marans cockerels and 2 Wyandotte cockerels that hatched May 17th that I would like to sell. The eggs came from Buddy Henry of Backwoods Poultry Farm if anybody is interested.

Ooops, almost forgot the 3 Wheaten Ameraucana cockerels from Barbara Campbell. If you're interested, don't be shy, send me a PM!

Just out of curiosity, can you bring any aged chicks/chickens? I'm guessing you have to take back home what nobody wants? I ordered a BUNCH of japanese BTW bantams and golden laced sebrights from Cackle Hatchery. Should be here next week. Only wanna keep 5 hens and 1 rooster of sebrights and 5 hens of the BTW bantams. SO, will have some to sell. Wonder how far Marion is from NC? Just wondering if the birds could make the drive. I've never been to a chicken swap before, would love to attend.

Yeah any aged chickens. It'll be kinda like a "flea market" type set up, everyone keeps their chickens in their area and sale what they can and take back what dosen't sale. Depending on what part of NC you are from Marion is about an hour away from the NC border.

Sounds like a plan!!!!!!! I'm only about 30min from the Virginia border, up near Roanoke Rapids. I've already told my husband. I said, "Honey, they are having a chicken swap, so we can sell some of our extra chickens. So, I am going to go ahead and order those 25 bitties we talked about" Needless to say, he wasn't very excited (about ordering more). Guess I'll have to wait (on ordering more).

??????????????????CAN YOU EVER HAVE ENOUGH CHICKENS????????????
