Are all fallow chicks pink eyed? I have a chick I though was a slate redbreasted type but his feathers coming thru have a orange tint to them as well as silver. Is he a fallow? Pik 1 is freshly hatched ... pik 2 and 3 are today at just a week n half xx

My guess would be it's cinnamon red breasted. I have some I think are fallow (they do have a ruby shade in their eyes at hatch) and they are not as light colored as yours, so even if yours were fallow there would still be something else causing the feathers to be that light..

I thought cinnamon too but his wings are silver its not white and orangey its silver and orangey ... really peculiar as didn't think they went together, im leaning more towards a possible ivory bird? Without the pink eyes I don't think it can be a true fallow xx

I'm not exactly sure, but if it was silver I don't think it should have any orange tint to the feathers (apart from those in the vent area if it is a male). I think it's more likely to find silver colored wings in a non-silver bird.

Its not ur typical rust up colour for silver either that's more of a peachy pink than this orange. It looks more like its a part of its uniform colouring, normal silvers juvenile feathers have those white tips not these orange ones ... so weird 😂

This is his sibling from the same hatch
