Family doesn't understand....

No matter what I am interested in my family just raises their eye brows and rolls their eyes. Absolutely no interest whatsoever. When I try to say something all I hear is "UH HUH! with a very sarcastic tone of voice. While I listen patiently for over an hour to their stories of NO interest to me. At least they could be polite. No way. I don't bother anymore, I just talk to my BYC friends, and feel so much better.

BYC is the best place to be. It's not all chickens either, they give as much support through illness, job loss, etc, as they do to happy occasions. BY is Family

I am so ready to get my girls. Now to find some around where I live. I thought I had found some but they wanted more than I wanted to spend right now. Hoping they will come down to where I want them to be this week. Can't wait to fill my coop and run.

What kind of birds are you looking for?

I would like 1 to 2 Barred Rocks, 1 or 2 EE, 1 or 2 Buff Orpingtons. I want a total of 5 to 6 hens to start with. I want some silkies but will have to build an additional coop and run for them. I only have one at this time.

scflock is in the northern part of your state. He's got Silkies, and has several other breeds. You might want to contact him, and see if he can help you out, either from his own flock, or direct you to someone who can help you.
