Fan or no fan ???

Preparing two incubators for eggs and have a third for hatching those that might be on a stagered time. Which is better for the lockdown hatching, the one with the fan or one without? Of the 3 incubators 2 have a fan and one does not.

I took the fan out of my hatcher because it seemed to dry out the membranes faster if the eggs got rolled into it's path. Of course, I had add in fans (computer fans) not attached to the top of the bator. That might have made a difference, also.

In my incubators I have fans and turners, the hatcher is just a bare bones still air bator.

eta - taking out the fan helped raise my hatch ratio.

some people put the fans back to front so it blows at the wall or the lid, not directly at the eggs. might help you even more.
