Fan suggestions?

Does anyone have suggestions for a type of fan or how you mounted in securely in the coop? Our coop is 14ft X 14ft so we don't need one of those high velocity barn fans, just looking for something to circulate air at night safely. There is electricity to the coop. I would think I can just buy one from any retailer and hang it from a wall or ceiling, but wonder what others do. Thanks!

I found mine at Walmart.
I use a Lasko Weathershield Select box fan on the outside of my coop windows. Coop sides do have a slight overhang, but we made a makeshift cover as well. Use jack chain and screws to secure and bungie to keep it from bouncing.

I really do take it down at least 2x a season and blow it out with the compressor, but as you can see chicken dust gets into everything

Hafarsed fanage here...basic box fan hang on heavy hook inside east window,
east side of coop is in shade most the day,
so I turn it on late afternoon and then off when I lock up after dark.
Blows some cooler air in,
and pushes some of the hotter air out of
all the other windows and vents.
Definitely helps some, how quickly depends on outside temp.
Building a 'seal' around it would probably help efficiency,
have a plan in mind just haven't done it.
Having it blow into the coop reduces dust build up on fan.
I don't leave it running overnight, for fear of fire more than anything.

If you want to replace a ceiling fan in your house, use the old fan in the coop. Adjustable speed and reversible.

My Uncle did that. Aunt wanted a ceiling fan, so he took the box fan from the floor and chained it to the ceiling. She got what she asked for but not what she wanted. LOL

I'm hoping to stay away from a fan in the coop. But any air movement helps. My chicks get under the coop and take a nice cooling dirt bath. I do have quite a bit of ventilation built into the coop. I need to install a rain flap for those south Texas thunderstorms.

Haven't got my shed converted yet, but planning on it this month. Just got the stuff from the Depot tonight to put gutters on and catch all the rainwater off my 10x12 shed which will be becoming a coop (2/3 of it at least). First job was secure water for the birds before I get them, so will roll one of my 275 gallon IBC totes out behind the shed and plumb it all in. Will get the chickens after that, but for ventilation I plan to cut vent flaps on either end up high and put in a couple solar panels for a stand alone 12V system and put in a 12V fan or two for ventilation, also to run the water heater for winter (in Kansas City/ zone 5-6)
