So, how long is that tail gonna get? Are you going to build him perches to hang out on to keep his tail feathers from getting all poopy?

That tail is going to get real long. I hope over 10 feet. I have special pens made for them with platforms. Hopefully that will keep the tails poop free. The Pullets do not have as long of tails. I plan to only keep 3 roosters, they are just a lot of hassle but they are beautiful birds.

She is actually not that rare. This is actually a extremely advanced stage of "duckbillitis". You must cure it or it will spread to every bird within 40 miles. Culling ducks is the only thing that will help. Remember a culled duck is not a waste, they make great compost!

Are they going to be indoors and out of your Minnesota wetness too? I've never seen a higher maintinence bird than a longtail breed. Or exotics, I guess. But longtails are a ridiculous amount of maintenance. Don't get rid of your cream Legbars! I need someone close enough to swap with occasionally!
