I like how big they are, they appeal to me, like all the cartoons with large shiny eyes, it's that whole "kawaii" Japanese cute thing.

I'm working on developing hybrid crosses that are extremely predator savvy for free ranging (we have a ridiculous number of hawks stalking regularly), cold hardy (10-20 F) and heat hardy in the St. Louis summertime (90 F + 80+% humidity)

Golden Spangled Appenzeller Spitzhauben Rooster over Dominique Hen (she just started laying about 3 weeks ago and has laid an egg EVERY DAY except maybe 1? in the past 16 days)...

Pretty birds. I like her beetle sheen, with the gold accents.
