Not a Trumpeter as it has no nose frills, looks like a Capuchin but it has feathered feet.... humm I'm not up to date on all the breeds... but nice pigeon.
But I'm not sure. Hm, no. On second look, the crest on yours looks more like a trumpeter or tumbler. There are TONS of tumblers. Maybe poke around and see if anyone is very familiar with them?
Lucky you, what a beautiful bird. I have one single solitary (rescue) pigeon living with my chickens. I keep wishing I could find him/her a friend. I feel sorry for him/her (think it's a her) all by herself.
Anybody want to place a pet pigeon into a home as a friend for Pige? She doesn't need a mate, just a friend.
eta: She doesn't fly well, her wing was broken in a CareFlight take off incident here at work. I took her home, wrapped her wing and caged her a while. She can fly some, but not well enough to leave. She is allowed to fly randomly here at home as I made a sort of trap for her in the chicken coop. I just think she would enjoy not being the only pigeon here. She's a surprisingly smart bird. If I tell her I think I see hawks, she puts herself back in the coop. She's cute.
