Who takes care of you guys’s chickens when y’all are on vacation? The last person I hired over the summer didn’t feed or water my chickens. I was gone for almost a week and some of my babies were dead when I got back.

A close friend of mine lives right down the street from me. She has her own chickens as well so she knows how to care for them. We pay her to take care of the girls, the fat cat, take packages in, and water the plants.

I have a LOT of animals to take care of, so I guess that’s why everyone ive ever hired has been overly lazy with them. But that’s not a good excuse. Especially when they’re getting payed.

I have three elder brothers to look after the birds, but usually something happens - a bird gets stuck in a shed without food or water - a bird gets taken by a fox - and once my gentlest cockerel attacked my eldest brother.

So I don't go away now.
