Okay... have you tried letting eggs pile up in a more secluded nestbox? Or using fake eggs or golf balls?
I've read that you can make a nestbox more attractive for broodiness by putting boards or little curtains around it to make it darker and more private.
(No clue what the heck happened with Najika that one time, though. And she was a red sexlink!)
