I don't know. We don't have the space at our house. Maybe when we finally move into our grandpa's house though.Planning on getting one anytime soon?
Oh okay.I don't know. We don't have the space at our house. Maybe when we finally move into our grandpa's house though.
I don't know all the genes at play with the legbar. Also, MysteryChicken what would the cross of cream legbar rooster x buff Orpington hen yield? I know it would be an Olive egger but do you know what the offspring would possibly look like? If you don’t know that’s okay. I’m just clueless on chicken genetics.![]()
Yeah, limited space right now.Oh okay.![]()
Very helpful. Thank youI don't know all the genes at play with the legbar.
They look wild type based some are more cream, some are more silver in color.
So, Cream Legbar Rooster X Buff Orpington would result in Crele looking offspring.
I'm not sure if the Roosters are double, or single Barred, but if they're double Barred all offspring will be Barred.
If they're not double Barred then some of the offspring will be solid in color.
You're welcome. It's an educated guess.Very helpful. Thank you![]()
I've never owned a mini cow. We only have standards, yet we do have some "mini Jerseys" (just smaller Jerseys.) It would probably depend on what you're looking for. If you're looking for a lot of milk, I'd say just go ahead and buy a standard dairy cow, like a Jersey. If you're looking for a pet who probably won't eat as much, you may just get a mini cow. At the same time, a standard Jersey could make an great pet as well.Hey @Dottie the Chicken, you're a dairy farmer so would you say that it's profitable to have a mini dairy cow of any breed? Including the cost of buying and feeding. We've only ever had beef cattle so no clue![]()
