Yeah, I've been sexing chicks by Wing Feather buds since 2017, when I got my first Orpingtons, I tried it, & it worked exactly like it was supposed to. I had a boy, & a girl. Ever since then I've been using the same method, & started practicing on other breeds which was abit of a challenge since every bird feathered out differently. So, my practice technique was study the feather growth pattern, & watch what gender it grows upto be. I memorized the different feather growth patterns, & applied them according to exact gender, & I've been really good at it with 98% accuracy. Only getting 2% wrong.

You can Feather sex Silkies?!??! Omg. I wish I knew that when I had Silkies
Yep, I sure can. I sold a dozen sexed silkies last late summer. Spared two girls out of the batch as grow outs.

The lady wanted 12 silkies, all girls, but ended up with 2 boys in the mix, I let her know, & she didn't seem to mind.
