Looking at Marans close up eye picture, looks like he's starting to get a cataract.
I zoomed into his pupil more.

I'm not sure how to treat cataracts in chickens. I know this fairly common in Albinos since they have sensitivity to sunlight.

It looks like one *might* be developing, but I think it looks more like a trick of the light, or from being zoomed in so far.

How old is he? And have his eyes always had pink/red in them like that?

He's 4yrs old now, I believe.

Ah, ok. I couldn't remember if you had said it recently developed or not, which would lead me to believe he has some sort of eye disease, or it was irritated in some way. Which would also explain the possibly developing cataract.
