Unfortunately, to get the really dark eggs that you read about, you're going to need to buy chicks from a breeder who prioritizes egg color. Generally hatchery birds aren't as close to standards and the egg color isn't quite there. You are correct that the other colors of marans lay different shades, though. If you want some really dark egg layers get French Black Copper Marans. I have read that they lay the darkest egg of any chicken. I think you can get different breeds of Marans as well or hybrid Marans that lay a different shades of brown egg.
That they be so but still they will probably lay a very dark egg.Unfortunately, to get the really dark eggs that you read about, you're going to need to buy chicks from a breeder who prioritizes egg color. Thanks.I know you weren’t talking to me but I stress eat pretty badly, I can’t really help it. It’s kinda like a habit you can’t break.
Yes I LOVE them. @MysteryChicken it looks great!
I see no red.
HOW!?!?and how did you do a good job on all of those things in such a short amount of time!?
not saying you didn’t but
I think I would have skipped the dance party and maybe even the movie and the egg washing and spend more time on the school work. Well, I probably wouldn’t actually but should
