I'm not sure if fun is the right word, but sounds cool! Sorry it's so cold. How are you organizing the leg bands? What color means what?
I color code birds we keep, & use for breeding purposes. My Orpingtons are light blue, Sumatras purple, Welsummer orange, & EEs yellow as examples.

do any of yall use tiktok? (not asking for your usernames) if so, yknow the "hi good morning" audio that everyone puts pets to? my goal in life is to get a good video of buttercup to go with that audio

also I asked SO again about a cow, jokingly, and it's a hard no.

I can tell them apart by sight. The leg bands are for color coding, keepers, & breeders.
I guess I just dont understand why each breed would need a different color then

like if you used all one color, it would do the same thing, wouldnt it?

I think I'm missing something haha

I want to start banding my birds though

I've got some black zip ties on males I'm keeping just to make it easy if someone comes to buy one (more important when I had a lot of extra boys)

I'm considering doing some type of color coding for generations maybe, or just 'is a good broody/has sat a nest to fruition before'. I could band all the pullets & cockrells in the pen (18 last night which means 5 girls came back) so I know they are spring/summer 2020 born

My Orpingtons I have are for a project, so they're marked with a specific color, Light Blue is their color. Does that help?
