Wow! Have fun! Do your chickens like snow? I have a bunch of "tropical chickens", first sign of snow and they stay in the coop all day.
They're such weirdos.

I've got no idea......I had this great idea where I pick them up and plonk them directly into snow and see how they react, but then when I put them away tonight I realized that some snow is blowing into the run. The roof is keeping most of it out, and there's definitely less in the run than out of it, but there may be a considerable amount. It's been snowing for a few hours and I think it's going to go through the night.

You might want to try it if you think you'll get more snow. It was super cheap and easy, just staples, a staple gun, a few nails, and the wrap.

*sigh* just finished a really good book.......it's called #murdertrending. The entire thing was extremely well written but the ending (and many parts of the book) were extremely unsettling.

We've been getting less and less each year......If it's a hassle to shovel out the run I'll try it.

We've been getting less and less each year......If it's a hassle to shovel out the run I'll try it.

My run is giant, and it would be a hassle. It's also not covered. So I take extra straw/hay from the sheep and put it down in the run. The chickens scratch through it as well as actually coming outside.
