Farm chatter

Hey anybody know how to convince your parents that you NEED coturnix quail?
I convinced my parents to let me get bobwhite quail, but they mostly said yes because my little parakeet had just died. She was my best buddy.
I have 48 in an incubator atm
When's hatch day? That's cool.
Here are 5 of my 10 golden pharaoh breeders. View attachment 2429987
Ooh, pretty!
Where did you find your oh the shame thingy?!?! I looked and it's not in my smiles :(
I found it in an emoticon article by CluckNDoodle I believe. I can post a link in a minute. There's lots of fun emoticons.
Sooo who here has ducks of any breed or type
I have 1 duck currently, her sister died and I haven't been able to get her a friend yet. She is living with a chicken who is her bestie. I've had lots of ducks in the past though.
When was the last time anyone hatched
Uh, my broody hatched chicks in July. The last time I hatched in the incubator was early July.
I couldn’t agree more. What’d everyone have for lunch? 🤣
I had pheasant pot pie leftovers. Yummy.
- Go to page 196, get a turtle with top hat to be your avatar. (pic with chef hat is taken)
- I. LOVE. COTURNIX. QUAIL.
- People have fell off their horses when they we're 9 and dad went to the bathroom, with arm breaking involved.
- Also, I NEED COTURNIX QUAIL.
That's about it
Oh my gosh, that's a hilarious summary!

Oh and don't forget I'm going to meet @HuffleClaw at the border for her guineas and she will take my male button quail
Do you want my nutty guinea?!?!

I have ducks. Two mallards (though not for long, one will be for Christmas dinner and the other one is being rehomed), a blue Swedish, and a pekin.
1 duck seems like a pretty small Christmas dinner, lol!
Definitely true!
Though I barely ever get snow (Though this year is supposed to be extra snowy!), so I love it when it comes. I'll spend a few extra hours floundering about in the snow, shoveling paths, and then I play in it for hours on end. :D
You can have some of my snow. It snowed in the middle of October, but it's nice right now. No snow. I am AMAZED. Last year we had snow from September to late April. The year before that September to May. Yay! Lol. This has been a wonderful year weather-wise. Here's some snow that we had for a couple weeks last month. It all melted thankfully.
