Farm chatter

I've been told that Tillie is ok quality for a leghorn aside from her squirrel tail.
I'm fighting with squirrel tail in my Orpingtons, & so far Goober doesn't have it.

I did discover a trait in my Orpingtons I didn't know about. Goober has really long legs, a slim body, & an upright sporty posture. I'll get a picture soon.

I agree we with the breed standards being insane. It's hard to get a perfect bird.

Wish we could show whatever breed in whatever quality like a really long time ago before a standard was set.
While I agree with you, I also think that breeding to standard would be an AMAZING thing for me. I think that I'd LOVE looking critically at birds, learning about genetics, and picking crosses to achieve perfection. I'd also have a great time training birds to be brought to shows and (hopefully) showing and winning with them.

oh yeah are we chopping off your head or not? I propose we find a new poll topic
i think you can only edit the poll for a certain amount of time...?

i think my leghorn is low quality because she has black flecks 😂
