I'll try it for any other bird I need rehoming, but I'm not going to worry about this one.

It's fine if he becomes soup. Home raised chicken is best anyways.

Yeah it was! I actually had multiple replies hahah and it took a bit before we met but yeah.

I don’t know LOL probably both. I gave them 4. They said they had 2 but had lost them to an owl? Idk. So I’m sure they butchered some of them. The other person I almost gave them too said he had a bunch of hens for them and wanted them all but I’m sure he would have eaten them too but idk. I did say in the ad it was okay to eat them so that might have contributed. And they were free.

yeah my ad when I was trying to get rid of cockrells definitely said you could eat them. The guy who came to buy TWENTY tried to tell me they were pets. I was like no no it's fine to eat them & he kept saying they're pets. But the older woman with them was basically bouncing them up and down to assess weight lol. I told him I had more that would be ready to sell to eat in a month or so lol. he messaged me in like 2 months and I told him theyd just been wormed and had a 14 day meat withdrawal period and asked if he wanted to get back to me in 14 days. he said yes. pets.

OMG LOL people are so weird! If you specifically said they were for eating why lie!? Some people get really weird about eating them though but you said it was okay LOL

I dunno. My best guess is they've had people assume they were gunna eat them before and admitted to it & then the seller was a jerk to them. They drove over an hour so I'm sure they didnt want to risk it.

I had someone on CL message me saying they've been looking for unvaccinated hens. I said mine were indeed unvaccinated, and they never got back to me after that. I've always thought maybe that was because they wanted vaccinated ones but thought I would lie if asked directly?

Basically there's some weird stuff that goes on in buying/selling.

Maybe they wanted vaccinated hens but they said they wanted unvaccinated so people wouldn’t lie.
