I have mega baby fever right now.

I apparently do too because I just filled my incubator with Silkie eggs.

Oh, and maybe someday I'll be able to hatch eggs!! I have a sexed "pullet" that very well may be a cockerel. The thread is in the Genders and Breeds section. Look for "Pretty young yet, but does Maxine look like a Maxwell?" I've prayed about a rooster, and maybe God is giving me one!! I hope so!!

What breed are you thinking? Sizzle? Frizzled BC? Frizzled Polish?




ColtHandorf has absolutely stunning English Orps in a variety of colors more than just the typical vomit and lavender. But he’s not local, and it might be a bit pricey. In the past I’ve heard he charges $30 a dozen + shipping. That may not be the current price right now, and I’m not sure if he’s currently selling.

AND you’d have to deal with incubating + potential males.
