I was raised on a chicken farm in northern U.S. I
committed a very bad sin as a child tired of chores. I threw some of the dirtiest eggs I was gathering so they would break and the hens would rush to eat the evidence.
So, I didn't like my chores and did not confess to my parents. In mass production, there wasn't a lot of interaction but I did love moving night. We loaded up hens into crates and moved them to a larger henhouse. The stars were so clear and the teamwork was pleasant!
Now I am older and raising 4, not 400. They are lots of work and fun. Even hawk watch has its moments!
