Hello, im looking for some insight on the farm innovator deicer. I want to use it in a 5 gal bucket with nipples. Will have to use extension cord. Looking for user experience, thanks in advance

I use this one with extension cord plugged into a WR GFCI outlet.

It's for metal founts.

The Harris Farms brand on Amazon says you can use with their plastic founts.

I love mine... super durable...

I have had it for years, so no clue on model number.

I use mine in an open rubber water pan.

I use these in my automatic waterers as well as sell them. They work very well when they work. Always good to check the water temp with your finger when you go out to be sure it's not overheating.

ETA: I use heated bases with metal founts for the chickens. A lot of them drink out of the cattle waterers, though :gig

I use this deicer with horizontal nipples. It is for use in a plastic bucket or a container up to 30 gallons. First one lasted 4 years. Have a new one this year. Cost is about $40. During all the winters I have used it the water has never frozen. Live in NW Montana where it normally gets down into the -20s F several times each season. I use it in a 13 gallon clear tote with lid that makes it very easy to see the water level.
