Hello Friends!!
I recently got an incubator from a guy down the road and I have some questions!! Any help at all is appreciated as this will be my first time trying to hatch chicks!! It is a Farm Innovators Pro Series Digital Incubator Model 4250. It did not come with the two red vent plugs. Can I use it without them? Any hints or tips from anyone who uses or has used this model? We are hoping to test run tonight and get these eggs in and “cooking”!! Lol Thanks in advance!!

That's what I use! I like it.

The plug releases your humidity, so it may be wise to find a substitute to cover the holes before lockdown of the hatch.

I found it troublesome to keep humidity high, so I put a damp sponge in there during lockdown as well. Then later bought a humidity kit on Amazon.

I had 50% my first time and 60% my second time.

I have read that some people prefer a “dry hatch” keeping the humidity constantly around only 25% and that’s why a lot of the Incubators are missing their vent plugs. Not sure how accurate that is or not. I got this diagram to check air sacks at day 7, 14 & 18 (pictured). I am on my first ever round of trying to hatch eggs. I will keep you updated on how it goes. We stuck foil in our vent plug holes and are keeping the humidity around 25%-45% fingers crossed
