Yesterday, I almost came home from the poultry show with a little bunny!

Good thing the teenager that was with me talked some sense into me. Well...actually, she just talked me into waiting a few months until her baby bunnies are born and then she'll give me one of those.

I need a rabbit like I need a bullet in my head!

But they're so cute.

See, there you guys go again! A cute little bunny!

OMG!!!!!

Some new pictures of our rescued orphan foals. They're about 6-7 weeks old now.

Little Snow, he's the weakest one of the bunch.




Baby Snow is slowly starting to put on some weight and muscle. He didn't look this good a couple weeks ago.

I think this is such a sweet innocent little thing. I can't see baby Snow's eye color, is it albino, or am I seeing a spot on the muzzle and few sprigs of red and almost a medicine hat paint?

Little by little is all you can really hope for in my experience...all that fun stuff is a lot of work!! And yes, we got loads of rain the last couple weeks. It may be the last we see for quite awhile, but I'm thankful for what we got. Living in a perpetual drought is no fun at all.
I was able to pick almost a whole basket of the purple green beans yesterday. Also got a few yellow squash- one was pretty hidden and ended up being bigger than my forearm before we saw it! It'll have to get sliced super thin and made into squash chips in the dehydrator because it'll be too tough for anything else. The corn is growing tiny little ears and I found about an inch long watermelon yesterday. On a less than great note...my goats found a weakness in the fence and managed to stick their heads through enough to eat the top 4 feet off three of my tallest sunflowers. BOO! LOL, Dang goats!
