I didn't take these with my good camera, just the iPhone, but the cuteness is way too much not to share. Our first doeling was born yesterday! 9lbs 11 ounces. Alpine cross. There is some Nubian in there as well. I just don't know if her mother has anything else in her.

I hatched some buff Orpingtons for a teenager that lost pretty much her entire flock to a predator, all but one hen. We put 6 eggs in the incubator, all were fertile and hatched!

And they even hatched on Mother's Day! lol I gave the chickies to two of my broody hens. I'll have to get more pictures...if I ever get the time.
Real nice thing you did!!! Neat all 6 hatched!

what would the best lens be for a canon SLR? I want aonther lens for my camera but not sure what to get. I don't want anything to expensive, but that would improve my pictures.

What range (price and focal length) are you looking for? And what do you already have?

For a cheap zoom lens I'm a fan of the Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III Lens, which you can find in the $150-$200 range. You will see various reviews online that slam it, but I've gotten a lot of nice shots with mine, enough that I ended up buying a second one :)

These are a couple of photos I took with that lens and an older model Rebel body. Minimal post processing, mainly just cropping and adding a watermark.
