Got my new lens. Wasn't feeling all that great this evening, so really didn't take many shots. Henry was a goof ball, so I did get a couple of funnies.

It is very quiet when it manually focuses. It will be really good for videos and general photos. Much better than the lens that came with it. However, I will have a hard time getting used to not being able to zoom in from 50 feet away and get a close up :p

At least I can take chick photos without standing back 10 feet lol

Great shot.
I have the same problem with my 75-300mm, I have to stand back and then zoom in with shots which is really annoying sometimes when I want a certain angle.
So what is different on your new lens so that you can go nice and close to the subject?

I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS !

You can get pretty darn close. The lens is pancake. It is very light and easy. :) Very very quiet

Henry has sparkling white teeth - you must be very proud. Good boy!!
I know right? His bottom canine tooth hasn't grown in right, so his tongue always hangs to one side though lol

So, we ended up with 4 new roosters and two hens... Someone dropped them off here at the farm. All have scaley leg mites, couple of the roosters don't sound too good breathing wise..

No idea where they came from but they're here now and I need to find them homes. Except for this little lady! LOL

She's a little frizzle hen. No idea what breed, most likely a mix. She has five toes and looks a little something like a Serama or an OEGB. Whatever she is, she's CUTE as a button! Her legs look the best out of all the chickens and she's got me fully trained after only two days of being here.

I gave her a bath, dried her with my hairdryer, scrubbed her legs each day and she just likes to sit in my lap. lol She actually falls asleep when I rub her legs with VetRX. And today, she fell asleep in my hand when I was carrying her around the farm. LOL
I named her Lola.

And there is the gang of babies, mostly Orpingtons. There are 2 Silkies and one RIR mix.

This one is my favorite. Her name is Suzie Q. Hoping she'll stay a Suzie! lol Looks promising so far.
