Well Mr. Gorgeous up there almost got himself in a lot of trouble this morning. He actually tried to face off with me. I nipped that right in the bud, and I told him if he ever actually jumps at me (today he just ran up and tried to square off) he'd get a one way ticket with me to my friend's house when she processes her meat birds in a few weeks. That is one thing I will not tolerate in a rooster.

My flock rooster tried getting mean with me once. I fixed that very quickly and now he won't bother me one bit. Now my new flock rooster (asian blue) for my pullets is starting the rooster nonsense. He bit my finger the other day. He protects any hen if they need it, his or not.
It just sucks when such pretty and sweet boys start bad behaviors.

svfarm what a beautiful Aussie shepherd. Is he a tri colored merle? I couldn't make the picture enlarge to see it better

My friend on another thread is getting two Aussie cattledog pups from Australia

She is a blue merle and very pregnant. She's actually my sister's but she is staying here for a while.

It's fine. They make very pretty puppies. Blue merle and black tri pups. This was an accidental pregnancy. She came into heat earlier than last time she had puppies and it's hard to tell with her. We still have a six month old puppy from her that needs a home. She was supposed to be spayed after the last litter. My sister is not happy about this so the puppies will be a lot cheaper than before

Well the fair has come and gone and I placed last in my class but that is OK. They thought my heifer could have had a bigger butt. But I had fun and know what to look for in my next cow. Look how tolerant she is of me. At least she is nice. I will have more pics soon. My friend didn't get to bring his heifer to the fair this year because about 2 weeks ago her udders started filling up with milk and we all know what that means. She was accidently bred when she was a young calf.
