Yeah, I do not really have a great setup for peafowl anyway. So let me ask this, if they had a safe spot to go to bed in at night, could they run in cow pasture that had electric fencing at the right levels? Or could they fly over it?
Electric fence won't phase a peafowl unless they step on it or peck it. So long as they have a safe place at night they'll be fine. Feathers don't conduct electricity. They have to touch it with a non feathered surface to be effected. They would probably fly over it anyways.

What predators are a threat to them? I imagine hawks leave them alone. Is it possible to clip their wings, or will that detract from the overall value of the bird? Sorry for all the questions, peafowl really intrigue me.

Chicks are fair game to almost everything when the hen is not around. Skunks, raccoons, minx will go for chicks and eggs. Sometimes they will kill a hen when she's protecting her nest. Usually it's coyotes, foxes, mountain lions, bears, hunting dogs, more larger mammals will prey upon all peafowl regardless of age. Peafowl share most of the same predators as chickens. Usually raccoons and skunks won't go targeting an adult though. Clipping their wings in my opinion, not worth it. Peafowl can already jump 8', most fences don't do any good unless there's a roof which in that case then there's no point to clipping the wing feathers. Also if you keep them free range and clip their wing feathers they can't get high enough to escape predators.

Do they free range well and always come back at night? I think if I would be free ranging them, I would have to get a LGD. I want some so bad, I just do not have a great set up. Do you own any chickens?

Unless you train them to come back to the coop at night no. They usually fly up high into trees, barns or other buildings. Yep I own chickens. I raise Black Australorps.

My mom says she knew somebody that had free ranging pea cocks. I have been talking about them in the past 24 hours, and I think it is beginning to drive her crazy. :p But she says someone near us has free ranging pea fowl. I have Black Australorps too!
