This is Race Car, one of our minis. The kids play around with these little ones so much that nothing bothers them. Once the kids threw a fake bear skin on him, it literally covered the whole horse, face and all. Race Car was able to see where he was going. He scared all the other minis with his new 'outfit' but of course he thought it was the coolest thing ever.
And now that I'm in charge of all our young horses, I try to expose them to as much as possible. Tarps and things are their favorite "toys" to play with. Hopefully when they're all grown up, they'll be like your horse.

I just don't know what to do when I see people having a real hard time with their horses...just having a miserable time with them....it can't be fun....but they only get them out every once in awhile and expect them to be as good as gold. ...some only getting them out a time or two a year. I just love seeing what is in your pictures! IMO, all that carries over for when you're just out riding around peacefully and they step on trash in the tall grass or a bird flies up right in front of them or just whatever. I used to ride a few outside horses for people, but stopped. I really don't like time restraints and like to take them super slow with lots of what you're doing. I love breaking my own!!!
