I definitely wouldn't consider myself a egg hatching expert. Still lots to learn! lol
So....for my latest batch. The dozen eggs I collected from my so called "breeding pen" were ALL infertile!

Little stinkers. Next year I'll trim butts for sure. But the porcelain + white silkie eggs I ordered, 13 out of 15 fertile! Yay!

I tried skinning twice.. Really took a long time. Especially around the wings. It was easy on the breasts and back, but it still seemed to take just as long, and I like the skin. Maybe I'm not doing it right.


I'm thinking about making this. I've heard good things. It's cheap too.

Before reading the posts after this picture, I was scratching my head trying to figure out what this device was.

How does it really work, how do the little fingers pluck feathers?

The turkeys came with me today checking cows. It was awesome! It was loads of fun watching them explore and follow me around! I ran of out photo card memory though and about cried. I was deleting bad pics and filling it back up, but wasn't the same as just giving the picture taking heck.

Now that must have been fun!

All these great photos! Here's some of pups. My girl Boone [green] and her brother Ranger [red]. Ranger is scouting. Boone and her puppy eyes. Brother and Sister. Siblings. Ranger and Boone came from the same litter.
