my ugliest hen. "Lacey." She's a blue laced red wyandotte. Her previous flock mates ripped a bunch of her neck feathers out, and now she's molting. Poor girl.

My sweet Felonie. We're in the process of getting a permit for her. You're only allowed 3 in Portland city limits. She's our 4th! Whoops.

Aw I don't think she is ugly at all - the bullies are tearing her feathers out, and nobody looks good while molting. Maybe some product like 'bitter apple," for dogs is available for chickens so the upstarts won't keep bothering her.

She was actually my first hen. I say "previous flockmates," because she was given to me to get her out of the abusive flock. She came with her friend Kate, and I added the two other girls shorty after. I've had no problems with the 4 of them. At this point I don't think her feathers are gonna grow back there, either.

I came home with chicks the other day....

I am taking pictures of them, but need to go through them.










I've been playing with the baby bunnies everyday. I'm keeping some females and going to get a new buck sometime for them.....
