I just found this thread and I love taking photos around our place...chickens, eggs, plants and "stuff".

Has anyone suggested putting watermarks on your photos?? I have had my photos gleened from this site and used online. The one in my avatar is a good example...it's even been used for some kind of witchcraft site!!! :D

This is one of my sleeping day old EE'r chicks from last August. See the egg tooth?

Good picture!
My small incubator now are full of the eggs, but now i only wait when anybody will hatch ))) Maybe now is too early (i had 1-2 or 3 eggs on any days, and put it... 3 eggs of the chikens was unfertilized (i used the ovoscope), and i changet it (taked another eggs). I have seen - the eggs age fertilized! Any eggs are "dark", last eggs are not dark yet, but i can see there a embrion there! This is my first incubation, i hope to receive a new young fowl. But i put there various eggs - geese and chikens (i had no choice because now i have only one incubator - R-com King Suro, there are now 9 eggs of the geese and 8 eggs of the chiken. I hope anybody can hatch, because the eggs of the goose and chicken must have various humildity in the incubator... I use standart settings, but the geese`s eggs must have high humildity. We shall see... Next time i will buy one incubator, or maybe two).

Just had a baby born this morning. A lovely little Mini Nubian doe. She's got the long ears like a Nubian, but hopefully to short legs like a Nigerian. One step closer to our breed goal!

Wow! She looks so sweet!

This is a picture of Finn I took a while back. It's on a crappy camera, but I guess it is just how you work with it!

I've thought seriously recently about getting a nigerian dwarf or two as small backyard pets with the added benefit of milk. But I looove floppy nubian ears!

Quote: Nubians are great. Nigerians are fantastic pets, but make poor milkers because of their udder size, so that's why we started breeding Mini Nubians. You get the great quality of milk the Nigerians produce, and good udder size from the Nubian. It's the best of both worlds!

This is Zebra, our Silver Spangled Hamburg. He has a cool comb although it's showing some battle scars from the older roo's picking on him.
