Lots of attitude (expressions) and cleavage showing on some of them - I could picture them with gold chains around their neck - strolling thru casinos in Vegas.

I have my eye on that second one too. She shows a lot of her houdan heritage, and they are hard to sex. I just rehomed a roo that didn't show any roo'ness until months after his hatch mates were mounting, crowing, had long since grown saddle feathers and big boy combs. He was even way behind my metro sexual roo in showing roo'ness. So if this one follows in his footsteps it may be a while before I know.

The peach trees and the bees are convinced that spring is here! Now, if only the weather would get the memo....

On a related note, I was showing my nephew the flowering fruit trees on the property, and explaining what fruit the flowers would eventually turn into. I showed him that the pink ones were going to be peaches, the white ones were going to be pears and apples, and the darker pink ones were going to be plums. He then pointed to a forsythia bush in flower (they have bright yellow blooms), and stated matter-of-factly that that tree was going to grow bananas. Gotta love kids.

I am a beekeeper as well and love your photo. Catching the bee with her pollen baskets on her legs full, and in flight, is amazing. Bees are endlessly interesting creatures to me.

I had always pictured Texas as cattle country full of horses and beef cattle while growing up, my only experience being movies and TV. My first trip there was about 10 years ago. I was amazed by the numbers of goats and chickens in the countryside, plus dairies, hogs, greenhouses, sheep, field crops, vineyards and vegetables/melons. The State has a truly varied agricultural base and leads the nation in the production of several items. My applause!
