I picked up 12 Barred Rock pullets yesterday...kinda switching to all BR chickens.



Picked up more CX chicks also yesterday. I have 3 batches of different sizes going. I'm liking the staggered sizes and will be a lot easier for me to keep up on butchering.

HAHA sure !!! lol I thought now that I have three I might have enough that I could pick one to keep. If you ever come to OKC maybe you could pick one up!!!?

But when I view it on my computer it is full screen which is like 3x larger than on BYC and it is so crisp.
I know my DSLR is only 10.3 megapixels but that shouldn't make is poor qual here on BYC.

When I said resizing I should have said downsizing, byc scales down the larger photos. I'm not a camera expert but would it matter if the photos are in RAW form or whatever it's called.

Luke, try uploading them to flickr first then posting them from there on here. In the past my photos always looked better when I used flickr for uploading.

My pair of ducks and their 'children.' They are all the same age, but since the ducklings were bigger, the chicks looked to them as mother figures, following them everywhere and snuggling underneath them at night.

My little Thai family. The rooster cares for the chicks as much as the hen. Now that the chicks are getting too big to all fit underneath her at night, the rooster has taken to joining the hen in the nest box so the chicks can also snuggle under him. He gives every bit of food he finds to them, and he will go after any of my dogs or turkeys if they get too close to his chicks.



And a fun shot of my lab, Luke. I caught him in mid jump (we have a lunge whip that he will chase and jump after like a maniac if you bring it out, he loves it).
