I love this thread but don't think I've ever posted to it. Only stalked it for ages.

This is a new to me rooster (currently in quarantine) who survived a predator attack (either domestic dog or bobcat) at his previous home just last week. He ended up here when no one came forward to claim him. A couple of days after I brought him home, his previous keepers tracked me down to get him back but when they came to collect him, decided he could stay and I'm delighted.

I thought she looked like a Percheron mix she's beautiful thank you for rescuing her. PMU horses and facilities are just awful and so many wasted neglected lives.

Yeah, the whole PMU industry is a mess. But apparently it's dwindling in the US. We haven't had to take in a group of foals for the last 3 years, which is great. Ima's group was the first group of babies we helped rescue, and that was 9 years ago. Ever since, we got 10-12 foals every year. Few of them are still here, most have been adopted. And actually, 3 of the adopted horses have stayed and are boarding with us.

Love her! She's gorgeous!
Thanks!

That's a very handsome rooster! Feel free to share more pictures.

Welcome to the thread.

Thanks! I'm hoping you or 3acres or anyone else who lives in 'Animal Paradise' will adopt me... I eat a ton though, so I know the odds aren't very good. Haha!  :)

Ill take ya, if you don't mind living in the same pen with 8 (and 3 more to come ;) ) noisy messy stinky ducks. Or maybe you could stay with the rabbits... But then you have to eat pellets. Or you could live with the birdies, but Tippi is mean and likes to bite and Auggie "squeaks" all the time, Taco takes up all the space and Lyndsey is a head lander. Or the lizard... But he.. Thinks fingers are worms...
Hmmmmmm. Guess there's no room :( sorry!
