Farming in Kenya

Hello fellow farmers!

I currently live in Kenya and have 100 indigineous birds on my farm. I will look to sell when they are grown. I will be using this forum to learn more about how to farm right!

what sort of indigenous birds are you raising?

They are called Kari Improved Kienyeji birds. The breed was created in India and brought to East Africa. I also have 'Pure Kienyeji' which are native to Kenya and brood for hatching.

Hi and welcome to BYC. Kari kienyeji are great birds for both laying and the premium prices paid for their meat - the best choice, in my opinion.

There are very few members based in Kenya around BYC but please make yourself at home.
