She was reacting to the distress call of the hen, right now mother nature as her tuned into that type of call and she will probably react to any bird that makes it.
My little blue Silkie hen will do that if I let her raise the chicks and not remove them to the brooder. Though when she sees its me she just stops the attack , and just paces all the while telling me off.
