My Hens aren't exactly "older" but they have been laying for about 7 months now. I did have a hen go broody on my which I separated her out in a crate for a few days and she's now back with the flock. I went to collect eggs today and this is what I found. Could it be the ex-broody hen? Why else would this happen? TIA
