Here are two of my silkie girls with bows in their "poofs"! Gotta love silkies. Let me just say they were not very amused! They both decided they want to be broody now though. But since we don't have a rooster there are no chances of the eggs hatching. So I kind of feel bad for them.
Silkies and Nankins are my birds of chose my hard working silkie girls hatched and mothered many chicks this past season two of my little mamas are laying me an egg everyday as cold as it's been. Black and white are my colors.
They are Grrr-eat. I recommend you get your girls a fella or some pruebred eggs.
The girls are still broody so I am thinking I might buy them some fertile eggs. I wish we could have a rooster but they wake everyone up because the coop is so close to the house. Our last rooster was getting up at 4 a.m. so it just did not work out.
