Hi. I have about 150 chickens who have reduced health and production due, probably due to overcrowding and poor air in the barn. My egg business is growing so I'll need 50+ more hens. I'd like to get them all outside, and grouped by egg color, Asap. Here's what I have: an acre or more of pasture that can be enclosed with an electric netting fence; lots of cull lumber (treated 2*4s and 4*4s); and most of the supplies for 2 Suscovich style tractors (2 tarps, lumber, 1/2" hardware cloth). I can get steel siding at half price from an Amish supplier. I don't have a lot of cash and I'm just one person. What's the fastest and cheapest way to build 10 hutches/tractors/coops to house 150 chickens? Ideally they would or could be winterized. I was thinking of this design 6*12:

I'd take a look at this place:

They have their coop plan for sale, but you may either want to wing a copy of it, or just glean ideas from it and do your own thing. Clearly, they are utilizing their plans.

(personally, I'm not a fan of the floors they have)

This is an interesting idea. Basically the indoor footprint is smaller, with private pastures (vs enclosed tractors). Food for thought.
