Fastest way to get a HovaBator 1588/Genesis?

Well, I've just got off of the phone with both places and I think I'll go with Cutler...I can't imagine that GQF wouldn't help with a problem no matter where I bought the incubator from. If I were buying the Sportsman I'd worry more about that, but this isn't a huge investment. GQF says 7-10 days, but I can pay for 2 or 3 day expedited shipping service--however, this is only on the shipper's end, not theirs--it will not be processed any more quickly from their facility. Well, they're only in GA so UPS or the PO would only take 2 or 3 days to get to me, anyway, so that wouldn't help me any. Cutler said that if I need it right away all I have to do is ask and they will ship it same day, no extra charge.

Sharon, if it only took two days to get to you it shouldn't take any longer to get to me, I'm in MD so we're about the same distance from Cutler--they are in MI.

I got mine off of Ebay new-don't do it. The company I bought from, is getting bad feedback for shipping delays. I've tried to contact them about mine, and I get no responses. I would buy direct, as MissP has suggested in other threads.

GQF stands firmly behind their product no matter where you buy it from. I had a question about the toggle switches and temp and they were wonderful, answered everything and were very helpful. It doesn't matter where you buy from, you can always call GQF for great customer service.

lol .... read feedback before ya buy .... then read the feedback of those who left feedback for the Seller.

We have saved thousands of dollars over the last few years on ebay. We have been burned maybe twice.

The problem with small incubators is that the shipping charges often negate any savings in new price, and delivery can vary from trader to trader.

On the other hand, I wouldn't buy a Sportsman anywhere else, and I would expect a large enough saving to make it worthwhile.

If, however, you need the back-up of a major retailer, or the manufacturer, you might not want to risk ebay.

Substantial savings can be made, but you have to look for them, be wary and don't believe everything you see at first sight.

Just my 2c

GQF no doubt has their shipping contracted with another company. This can be sort of a problem with someone needing faster shipment sometimes. However I would still order from them, but U have eggs on they way. Now U need fast shipping so the choice is slim!

GQF probably just uses UPS or similar.

What they are saying is that they can release it to the carrier on express terms, but they can't process the order out of the door in less than their normal time.

That could be a day or a week depending entirely on their internal proceedures.

GQF shipping rates appear to be reasonable, so just order in good time if at all poss.

When you get an incubator you want it running for at least 24 hours before setting eggs, and preferably a week.
