fat back ok?

Not there yet. Dig deeper. Don't read some article of some Doctor's paid "opinion"; which is basically script and just parroting. Please, please; do your own research; read the original studies that have been done.

I would not give that to my chickens. Pure fat like that is bad for their livers. They can get fatty liver disease and die prematurely.

Suet is raw beef or sheep fat, usually taken from around the kidneys or the loins of the animal.

Rendered fat is known as lard [from a pig] or tallow [from a cow or sheep].

Oh & BTW, it's fine to feed as a dietary suppliment in reasonable quantities.

Extra pork fat is perfect for grinding into some tougher cuts of venison, elk, moose, antelope, etc for some tasty sausage or burgers!

Ummm... There is absolutely no evidence (that I have found as of yet) that implies the ingestion of fat causing an animal/human to gain fat. People seem to just love parroting other people's lies and deceptions <sigh>

Sorry, high cholesterol means there is inflamation in the body, and its trying to fix it for you. It also means low hormones.

Fat also does nto cause weight gain. Excess eating, and dieting are the causes.
